Track fees and record payments

Updated 25 Jul 2026

Canvas keeps the running balance on each commission for you — quoted price minus every payment you record. Money never moves through Canvas; collectors pay you directly.

  1. 1Record a payment

Open the commission and, under Fees, tap + Record payment. Enter the amount, the date and an optional note (like "Advance · UPI"). The paid-so-far, balance due and progress bar update instantly.

  2. 2Send a payment reminder

When a balance is due and the client has a WhatsApp number, tap 💬 Send a payment reminder. It opens WhatsApp with the amount due and — if you've added a UPI ID in your profile — your UPI for a one-tap transfer.

  3. 3Watch the totals in Money

The Money tab sums it all up: Commissions paid, Outstanding, Works sold, and Quoted (live), plus a balance for each live commission.

💡 The reminder only carries your UPI if it's saved under Artist profile → UPI ID (for payment links). Add it once and every reminder includes it.
