Record what comes back (inward)

Updated 23 Jul 2026

  1. 1Open the outward entry

Find the challan the goods belong to and open it.

  2. 2Receive against it

Enter the quantity that came back. Part-returns are normal — receive 40 against an outward of 100 and the pending balance shows 60.

  3. 3Log defective pieces

If some pieces came back unusable, log them as defective on the same receive — they're tracked separately from good returns.
