When something looks off.
The Remind or Tell parent button is missing or won't open WhatsApp
Almost always a missing or incomplete phone number — add the parent's full number with country code.
The photo import missed names or got them wrong
The register reader does its best from the picture — retake a clearer photo, or fix the rows before saving.
Two students share one parent's phone number
That's fine — ClassJar lets siblings share a parent number, so each child stays a separate student with their own fee and attendance.
FAQ
Is ClassJar free?
Yes — you can track fees, mark attendance, and send WhatsApp reminders for free, with no card. The free plan covers a small class; paid plans simply lift the student limit and add extras like a branded class page.
Do parents or students need to install an app or sign up?
No. Only you have an account. Reminders open in your own WhatsApp and go from your number, so parents just receive a normal message — nothing to download, nothing to join.
Does ClassJar send messages automatically or charge per message?
Never. Every reminder opens WhatsApp on your device with the message ready — you tap send yourself. It uses your own WhatsApp, so there's no bulk-messaging service and no per-message charge.
Does it work for classes other than tuition?
Yes — music, dance, abacus, yoga, fitness and sports all work. You pick your type when you create the class, and the wording adapts (student, learner, member or player).
Can two students share one parent's phone number?
Yes. Siblings can share a number — add each child as their own student with the same parent phone. ClassJar won't block it, so each child keeps a separate fee and attendance record.
Does money move through ClassJar?
No. You collect fees however you like — cash, bank transfer, UPI — and mark each one Paid so your list stays accurate. ClassJar keeps the record and writes the reminders; it never touches the money.
